Về đầu tư trực tiếp (FDI), từ khi luật đầu tư nước ngoài tại Việt
Nam có hiệu lực cho đến 31 tháng 12 năm 2012, trên cả nước có khoảng
13.440 dự án còn hiệu lực, với tổng vốn đầu tư đăng ký trên 228,8 tỷ
USD, với số vốn đăng ký còn hiệu lực gần 198 tỷ USD và tổng vốn đã
thực hiện khoảng 90,3 tỷ USD. Nếu chia theo nhóm ngành đăng ký thì
lĩnh vực công nghiệp - xây dựng đạt 115,9 tỷ USD, chiếm 50,6% tổng
vốn đăng ký; lĩnh vực dịch vụ đạt 89 tỷ USD, chiếm tỷ lệ gần 38,8%;
lĩnh vực nông, lâm, thủy sản chỉ đạt trên 3,2 tỷ USD, chiếm 1,4%.

US dollars, with a registered capital of nearly 198 valid billion and total capital was
approximately 90.3 billion US dollars implemented. If broken down by sector registered the
industrial sector - construction reached 115.9 billion US dollars, accounting for 50.6% of total
registered capital; service sector reached 89 billion US dollars, accounting for nearly 38.8% rate;
