Người lao động được nghỉ việc riêng mà vẫn hưởng nguyên lương trong những trường hợp sau:
a. Kết hôn: nghỉ ba ngày
b. Con kết hôn: nghỉ một ngày
c. Bố đẻ, mẹ đẻ, bố vợ, mẹ vợ hoặc bố chồng, mẹ chồng chết; vợ chết hoặc chồng chết; con chết: nghỉ 03 ngày
d. Người lao động có vợ sinh con: nghỉ hai ngày.
Trường hợp nghỉ quy định tại điểm a, b, c khoản này thì phụ thuộc vào địa điểm và thời gian đi lại thực tế, người lao động có thể được nghỉ thêm tối đa là 02 ngày hưởng nguyên lương
