Ngày 20 tháng 11 năm 2000 theo quyết định số 728/VĐ-QĐ, thành lập khoa Chống Nhiễm khuẩn. Gồm 6 thành viên kiêm nhiệm.
Ngày 27/11/2000 theo quyết định số 729/VĐ-QĐ, về việc bổ nhiệm.
Bs Lê Văn Bình Phó trưởng khoa tạm thời phụ trách khoa.
Ts Lê Thị Thiều Hoa Phó trưởng khoa. (2000 – 2006).
Ngày 4/5/2006 theo quyết định số 448/QĐ-VĐ, sát nhập trung tâm hấp sấy tiệt trùng về khoa Chống nhiễm khuẩn.
Ngày 26/9/2007 theo quyết định số 753/QĐ-VĐ, bổ nhiệm Bs Lê Văn Bình làm trưởng khoa Chống nhiễm khuẩn ( 2007 – 2010).
Ngày 31/12/2009 theo quyết định số 1116/QĐ-VĐ. Đổi tên khoa Chống nhiễm khuẩn thành khoa Kiểm soát nhiễm khuẩn.
Ngày 19/5/2011 theo quyết định số 677/QĐ-VĐ, bổ nhiệm Phó trưởng khoa Thạc sĩ Hoàng Giang tạm thời phụ trách khoa.
Ngày 28/12/2011 theo quyết định số 2005/QĐ-VĐ chuyển trung tâm Giặt là thuộc phòng Hành chính quản trị về khoa Kiểm soát nhiễm khuẩn quản lý.
Ngày 27/3/2013 theo quyết định số 245/ QĐ-VĐ đổi tên Trung tâm giặt là thành tổ giặt là thuộc khoa Kiểm soát nhiễm khuẩn.
Ngày 1/12/2014 Thạc sĩ Phạm Hải Bằng được bổ nhiệm làm trưởng khoa Kiểm soát nhiễm khuẩn - cho đến nay.
Ban đầu từ 6 thành viên làm nhiệm vụ kiêm nhiệm cho đến nay đã phát triển gồm 53 thành viên được chia ra thành 4 bộ phận ( theo đúng yêu cầu của thông tư 18/2009 Bộ y tế). Sau một chặng đường hình thành và phát triển Khoa Kiểm soát nhiễm khuẩn đã đạt được những thành tựu đáng kể đóng góp vào sự nghiệp chăm sóc và bảo vệ sức khỏe nhân dân. Đồng thời công tác Kiểm soát nhiễm khuẩn bệnh viện có một vai trò quan trọng trong việc nâng cao chất lượng chăm sóc và điều trị người bệnh.
4 . Chức năng nhiệm vụ của khoa:
4.1 Xây dựng kế hoạch KSNK định kỳ và hàng năm để trình Hội đồng KSNK thẩm định trước khi Giám đốc phê duyệt và tổ chức thực hiện.
4.2 Làm đầu mối xây dựng các quy định, quy trình KSNK trên cơ sở các quy định, hướng dẫn chung của Bộ Y tế và trình Giám đốc phê duyệt, tổ chức thực hiện.
4.3 Phối hợp với các khoa, phòng có liên quan giám sát công tác kiểm soát nhiễm khuẩn tại bệnh viện.
4.4 Giám sát các vụ dịch, phối hợp quản lý tai nạn rủi do nghề nghiệp.
4.5 Cung cấp toàn bộ dụng cụ y tế và toan áo, đồ vải đã được tiệt khuẩn cho hoạt động chuyên môn của bệnh viện.
4.6 Giám sát phân loại, thu gom và quản lý chất thải rắn y tế trong toàn bệnh viện.
4.7 Phối hợp phòng hành chính, khoa vi sinh và các khoa, phòng trong bệnh viện kiểm tra và xử lý nước trong bệnh viện.
4.8 Phối hợp với khoa Dược, khoa Vi sinh và các khoa lâm sàng theo dõi vi khuẩn kháng thuốc và sử dụng kháng sinh hợp lý.
4.9 Phối hợp với khoa Dinh dưỡng kiểm tra an toàn vệ sinh thực phẩm trong toàn bệnh viện.
4.10 Đào tạo, nâng cao kiến thức về Kiểm soát nhiễm khuẩn bệnh viện cho nhân viên y tế và cho tuyến dưới.
4.11 Nghiên cứu khoa học, tham gia hợp tác quốc tế về công tác kiểm soát nhiễm khuẩn bệnh viện.

7. Định hướng phát triển :
Xây dựng thành một trung tâm tiệt khuẩn (CSSD) đạt tiêu chuẩn.
Tăng cường hợp tác với các tổ chức trong nước và quốc tế về kiểm soát nhiễm khuẩn bệnh viện.
Tiếp tục tham gia giảng dạy, đào tạo, nghiên cứu khoa học .
Hoàn thành tốt các nhiệm vụ được phân công theo đúng chức năng, nhiệm vụ của khoa.

Originally from 6 members concurrently duty to development has 53 members divided into 4 parts (as required by the Ministry of health circular 18/2009). After a journey of formation and development of Infection Control Department has made significant achievements contribute to caring for and protecting people's health. Working simultaneously control hospital infections have a significant role in improving the quality of care and treatment of patients.
4. Departmental functions and duties:
4.1 To formulate plans and annual recurring BCC to the BCC Board of Directors evaluated before approval and implementation.
4.2 To act as building regulations, procedures BCC on the basis of regulations, general guidelines of the Ministry of Health and the Director for approval, implementation.
4.3 coordinate with the departments, related departments supervise the work of infection control in hospitals.
4.4 monitoring the epidemic and coordinating risk management occupational accidents.
4.5 Provide comprehensive medical kits and attempt shirt, linen was sterilizing the professional activities of the hospital.
4.6 monitoring classification , collection and management of medical waste in the whole hospital.
4.7 coordinate administrative offices, science and microbiology departments, hospital room in tests and treatment in hospital.
4.8 coordinate with the department of medicine , department of microbiology and clinical monitoring of drug-resistant bacteria and rational antibiotic use.
4.9 coordinate with the nutrition department safety inspection of food hygiene throughout the hospital.
4:10 train and improve their knowledge of hospital infection control for health workers and for lower levels.
4:11 scientific research, participate in international cooperation on the control of hospital infections.
