Việc triển khai truyền thông trên các phương tiện thông tin đại chúng thông qua các chiến dịch truyền thông đã được triển khai tại một số tỉnh trọng điểm, tuy nhiên chưa mang tính thường xuyên và chưa tập trung vào các nhóm nguy cơ cao. Một số dự án đã bước đầu triển khai các hoạt động nâng cao nhận thức về dự phòng và điều trị viêm gan B và C đối với các nhóm nguy cơ cao (nhóm tiêm chích ma túy, người nhiễm HIV), tuy nhiên chỉ ở quy mô nhỏ tại một số địa bàn nhất định.
