Bảo hiểm xã hội Việt Nam là cơ quan thuộc Chính phủ, có chức năng tổ chức thực hiện chế độ, chính sách bảo hiểm xã hội bắt buộc, bảo hiểm xã hội tự nguyện, bảo hiểm y tế; tổ chức thu, chi chế độ bảo hiểm thất nghiệp; quản lý và sử dụng các quỹ: Bảo hiểm xã hội bắt buộc, bảo hiểm xã hội tự nguyện, bảo hiểm thất nghiệp, bảo hiểm y tế theo quy định của pháp luật.
Bảo hiểm xã hội Việt Nam chịu sự quản lý nhà nước của Bộ Lao động - Thương binh và Xã hội về bảo hiểm xã hội, của Bộ Y tế về bảo hiểm y tế, của Bộ Tài chính về chế độ tài chính đối với các quỹ bảo hiểm xã hội, bảo hiểm y tế.
Bản thân tôi hiện là một viên chức hiện đang công tác tại Bảo hiểm xã hội thành phố Hà Nội trực thuộc Bảo hiểm xã hội Việt Nam, trong quá trình công tác tôi luôn cố gắng khắc phục những khó khăn, đặc biệt hiện nay khi hai con còn nhỏ nhưng luôn tích cực tìm tòi học hỏi các nghiệp vụ của ngành, nỗ lực phấn đấu hoàn thành tốt nhiệm vụ được giao góp phần nhỏ bé của mình vào sự nghiệp phát triển Bảo hiểm xã hội thành phố Hà Nội nói riêng và của Bảo hiểm xã hội Việt Nam nói chung.
