công ty trách nhiệm hữu hạn Innov Green Quảng Ninh (thuộc tập đoàn Green Elite, tập đoàn đa quốc gia hoạt động trong lĩnh vực trồng rừng, khai thác, chế biến lâm sản) đã quyết định đầu tư dự án trồng rừng với quy mô lớn. Trên cơ sở nghiên cứu tính khả thi của dự án, cuối tháng 4 vừa qua, Ủy ban nhân dân tỉnh Quảng Ninh đã trao giấy phép đầu tư cho dự án này. Dự án có tổng vốn đầu tư 45 triệu USD (trong đó, vốn trồng rừng là 35 triệu USD, vốn xây dựng hạ tầng 10 triệu USD), thời gian thực hiện 50 năm, Theo tính toán, diện tích đất để thực hiện dự án cần khoảng 100.000ha. Dự kiến, kế hoạch phủ xanh toàn bộ diện tích đất sẽ hoàn thành trong thời gian 7 năm ( từ nay đến năm 2014).Theo ước tính, Vùng nguyên liệu này có khả năng cung cấp ổn định 2-3 triệu m3 gỗ/nằm. Dự kiến, Dự án tạo việc làm cho khoảng 25.000 lao động địa phương. Không chỉ góp phần giải quyết việc làm, công ty còn hướng dẫn người dân trồng rừng, áp dụng khoa học kỹ thuật vào chăm sóc rừng. Bên cạnh đó, hỗ trợ xây dựng cơ sở hạ tầng, các công trình văn hóa, phúc lợi nhằm cải thiện đời sống vật chất và tinh thần của người dân địa phương, xóa dần các xã nghèo, từng bước xây dựng nông thôn mới. Dự án đầu tư phát triển vùng nguyên liệu gỗ trên địa bàn tỉnh không chỉ góp phần quan trọng vào việc phủ xanh đất trống, cải thiện môi trường, mà còn tạo cơ hội cho người dân thoát khỏi đói nghèo
