In conducting this study, a survey was done by distributing 50 questionnaires to the targeted respondents. The 50 respondents are with different types of religion including Hinduism, Buddhism, Muslims, Christians, and non religious believers. They have been asked to list down the unmentionable or controversial products and services. Based on the collected qualitative data, alcohol is the most mentioned controversial product. Thence, this study is to examine the factors that influence Malaysian to perceive alcohol advertising as offensive.
