Chất lượng cà phê xuất khẩu của Việt Nam nói chung và Intimex Group nói riêng còn kém nên dễ bị các nhà nhập khẩu ép giá. Nguyên nhân chính làm cho chất lượng cà phê Việt Nam chưa cao là do người dân chưa tuân thủ đúng yêu cầu, quy trình ngay từ khâu trồng, chăm sóc, thu hoạch, tệ hơn là thu hoạch khi trái còn xanh, bởi điều này không chỉ làm ảnh hưởng tới chất lượng của
hạt, của sản lượng, mà còn tác động trực tiếp tới sự phát triển của cây, rút ngắn thời gian ra hoa, quả chín không đúng chu kì,…làm ảnh hưởng nặng nề vụ thu hoạch năm sau.
Cà phê xuất khẩu của Intimex chủ yếu là cà phê nhân và loại cà phê Robusta có giá trị không cao, nên hiệu quả xuất khẩu cà phê là không cao, không khẳng định được thương hiệu hàng Việt Nam trên thị trường quốc tế.
Hiện nay, đa số các hợp đồng xuất khẩu của công ty đều theo điều kiện thương mại FOB ( Free on Board ). Theo đó, công ty phải chịu hoàn toàn trách nhiệm đặt hàng lên boong tàu tại cảng quy định, và thuê tàu do đối tác đảm nhiệm nên công ty bị động về việc giao hàng và thường phải dựa vào hướng dẫn giao hàng của đối tác để cập nhật thông tin về hãng tàu, tên tàu, số chuyến, ngày đến,…
Về thị trường đầu ra, công ty chủ yếu xuất khẩu qua trung gian, thường là những tập đoàn thương mại lớn trên thế giới có văn phòng đại diện tại Việt Nam. Những đơn hàng của công ty thường là những khách hàng cũ và lâu năm, mua với số lượng lớn, chưa thật sự chủ động nghiên cứu thị trường tìm kiếm khách hàng để mở rộng xuất khẩu sang các thị trường tìm năng mới nổi khác.
