Facebook vừa ra mắt một hàm API gọi là "Continuous Live Video" để cho phép người dùng tường thuật trực tiếp các sự kiện kéo dài hơn 90 phút, ví dụ như các buổi hòa nhạc hay các trận đấu thể thao (thời gian tối đa có thể live là 24 tiếng). Bù lại, các video theo dạng này sau khi live xong sẽ không còn được lưu lại, trong khi video live bình thường sẽ trở thành một đoạn phim nằm trong tài khoản của bạn. Được biết 90 phút cũng là giới hạn thời gian của video được phép upload lên YouTube.
