Now that you have read Roald Dahl’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and are familiar with the plot and characters, you must write an email to Mr. Dahl (a fake email to me), explaining your interpretation of the book. It’s okay, you’ve started this already. Do you remember the assignment from last week in which you wrote about your interpretation of the Charlie? Well, you are going to take those ideas and use them in your email. However, you must expand (make longer and clear) your ideas.

The goal of this assignment is to help you write correct sentences (subject, action and “to be” verbs, and predicates—as well as adjectives) in order to effectively communicate your ideas. Also, you will demonstrate your ability to utilize quotations (2 to 3) as evidence, include 5 to 10 words from the vocabulary list, and mention character names from Charlie (make sure to underline the words in the email).

IMPORTANT NOTE: This assignment is NOT A SUMMARY of the book. What I am asking you to do is to tell Mr. Dahl your own original ideas. I am more interested in reading your ideas, not the summary of the book; I’ve read the book, and I don’t need you to tell me what it’s about.
