Vinamilk đã đầu tư bài bản vào hệ thống phát triển nguồn nguyên liệu theo tiêu chuẩn quốc tế từ khâu trồng cỏ, xây dựng chuồng trại, chế biến thức ăn cho bò đến quản lý thú y, môi trường xung quanh, sản xuất… Đây cũng là đơn vị đầu tiên đầu tư trang trại bò sữa và nhà máy sản xuất sữa tại Nghệ An. Trang trại bò sữa của Vinamilk tại Nghệ An là trang trại đầu tiên tại Đông Nam Á đạt chuẩn Global G.A.P về quản lý trang trại và chất lượng sữa tươi thuần khiết, được Bộ Nông nghiệp và Phát triển Nông thôn chứng nhận là trang trại xuất sắc nhất năm 2014.
