Phân tích nhân tố chỉ được xem là thích hợp khi hệ số KMO (Kaiser – Meyer – Olkin) có giá trị từ 0.5 trở lên, kiểm định Barlett’s Test được dùng để xem xét giả thiết các biến không có tương quan trong tổng thể (Hoàng Trọng và Chu Nguyễn Mộng Ngọc), các biến có hệ số truyền tải nhỏ hơn 0.5 sẽ bị loại. Phương pháp trích “Principal Component Analysis” được sử dụng kèm với phép quay “Varimax”, chỉ có những nhân tố nào có Eigenvalue lớn hơn 1 mới được giữ lại trong mô hình nghiên cứu (Hoàng Trọng và Chu Nguyễn Mộng Ngọc, 2008).[9]
