Do xét nghiệm huyết thanh viêm gan vi rút A không sẵn có ở nhiều cơ sở y tế nên khó chẩn đoán các trường hợp viêm gan vi rút A cấp ở bệnh nhân có vàng da hoặc tiêu chảy
