Không chỉ chú trọng đầu tư vào việc sản xuất sản phẩm, VBL luôn đặt công tác bảo vệ môi trường lên hàng đầu. VBL đã đầu tư trên 3 triệu USD cho hệ thống xử lý nước thải đạt tiêu chuẩn quốc tế đầu tiên tại Việt Nam, với công suất xử lý 1,5 triệu héctôlít nước mỗi năm, xử lý toàn bộ nước thải của nhà máy, từ nước thải công nghiệp đến nước thải sinh hoạt bằng các phương pháp xử lý yếm khí và hiếu khí.
