ISO (International Organization for Standardization ) là một tổ chức phi chính phủ quốc tế về tiêu chuẩn hóa, ra đời và hoạt động từ ngày 23/2/1947, Trụ sở chính đặt tại Geneve (Thụy sỹ), hiện nay có trên 150 thành viên. Việt Nam gia nhập vào ISO năm 1977 và là thành viên thứ 77 của tổ chức này.
