Trung tướng Nguyễn Quốc Khánh đề nghị trong thời gian tới hai bên cần thúc đẩy việc trao đổi đoàn các cấp nhằm tăng cường hiểu biết lẫn nhau và tìm thêm những khả năng hợp tác giữa hai quân đội. Bộ Quốc phòng Việt Nam mời Bộ Quốc phòng Venezuela tiếp tục cử sỹ quan sang học tiếng Việt và các khóa học dành cho học viên quốc tế tại Học viện Quốc phòng Việt Nam.
