Dùng mô hình phân tích SWOT để phân tích cho từng lĩnh vực sản suất kinh doanh của HPG. Lĩnh vực kinh doanh của Tập đoàn Hòa Phát chia thành 02 nhóm chính:
- Các ngành hàng truyền thống chủ yếu gồm:
+ Kinh doanh thép xây dựng;
+ Kinh doanh Điện lạnh;
+ Kinh doanh máy xây dựng;
+ Kinh doanh nội thất;
- Nhóm lĩnh vực kinh doanh khác gồm:
+ Đầu tư xây dựng đồng bộ hạ tầng;
+ Kinh doanh bất động sản.
+ Các sản phẩm khác.
