Trong hơn mười năm đổi mới, thu nhập của dân chúng tăng, đầu tư trong và ngoài nước vẫn ở mức cao, lạm phát thất nghiệp thấp, nhà nước cũng có chính sách kích cầu. Đây chính là các điều kiện kinh tế vĩ mô thuận lợi cho các doanh nghiệp mở rộng sản xuất kinh doanh. Theo số liệu do Tổng Cục Thống kê công bố, năm 2014 là năm đầu tiên trong kế hoạch 5 năm (2011-2015) kể từ 2011 đến nay, tăng trưởng kinh tế không chỉ về đích mà còn vượt kế hoạch. So với kế hoạch chỉ tiêu tăng trưởng kinh tế 5,8% mà Quốc hội đưa ra thì năm 2014 đạt 5,98% quả là con số đáng mừng cho nền kinh tế Việt Nam. Mức tăng trưởng năm 2014 cao hơn mức tăng trưởng 5,25% của năm 2012 và 5,42% của năm 2013 cho thấy dấu hiệu tích cực của nền kinh tế.
