The World Wide Web, known as Web or WWW, global network is a global information space which people can access (read and write) through computers connected to the Internet. This term is often confused as a synonym with the term Internet. But the Web is actually just one of the services running on the Internet, such as e-mail services. The Web was invented and put into use in about 1990, 1991 by the British Academy academics Tim Berners-Lee and Robert Cailliau (Belgium) at CERN, Geneva, Switzerland. The material on the World Wide Web is stored in a system of hypertext (hypertext), located in the computer in the Internet. The user must use a program called a web browser (web browser) to view the Hypertext. This program will receive information (documents) in the address box (address) the request by the user (information in the address box is called a domain name (domain name)), then the program will automatically send information to the server (web server) and shown on the viewer's computer screen. Users can follow the hypertext link (hyperlink) on each web page to connect with other materials or send feedback according to the server in an interactive process. The search operation following the hyperlinks are often called Web browsing. This process allows the user can surf the web to get information. However precision and endorsement of information cannot be guaranteed.
