Đáng kể đến là pháo đài sa thạch đỏ Agra, một trung tâm quyền lực dưới thời đại Mughal. Pháo đài được xây dựng bằng đá sa thạch đỏ với bức tường và hào bao quanh có chiều dài 2,5 km tạo nên danh tiếng bất khả xâm phạm của nó. Trong pháo đài có nhiều cung điện lớn như cung điện Jahangir và Khas Mahal, hội trường lớn và 2 nhà thờ hồi giáo. Dù bị thời gian làm hư hại khá nhiều, nơi đây vẫn toát lên vẻ tráng lệ với những hàng cột cao vút nâng đỡ các vòm trần duyên dáng nở xòe như những đóa hoa cẩm thạch trắng.
