Theo thống kê của tổ chức Business Monitor International, Việt Nam là nước có tốc độ tăng trưởng internet khá cao lên đến 9% mỗi năm, xếp hạng 15 trên thế giới. Chính phủ Việt Nam kiểm duyệt việc truy cập Internet một cách sâu rộng, dùng nhiều biện pháp, cả về pháp lý lẫn kỹ thuật. Chính phủ nỗ lực kiểm duyệt Internet là để bảo vệ người dùng khỏi phải đối mặt với các nội dung tục tĩu hay "đồi trụy". Tuân thủ các quy định của pháp luật về quản lý sử dụng Internet nhằm xây dựng hệ thống thông tin phù hợp với quy mô và nhu cầu của Công ty. Hiện tại, các quy định của Chính phủ về xây dựng hệ thống thanh toán trực tuyến còn chưa rõ rang, do đó tạo ra những khó khăn trong việc xây dựng hệ thống thanh toán trực tuyến của Công ty.
