AOS là loại hình nghệ thuật biểu diễn theo hình thức “kịch xiếc mới” với việc kết hợp nhiều loại hình nghệ thuật sân kấu như: xiếc, kịch câm, tuồng cổ, múa, hò và hát lý, đờn ca tài tử, vọng cổ, hip – hop,… bằng nhiều thủ phát nghệ thuật. Thông qua nghệ thuật xiếc, với đạo cụ chủ yếu là cây tre và chiếc thúng làm từ tre nứa, các ngệ sĩ liên tục tiến hóa, sáng tạo, dẫn người xem dạo qua các vùng quê Việt Nam.
