Tôi tên là Trần Diễm Hương, hiện đang là sinh viên năm cuối của trường Đại học Kiến Trúc thành phố hồ chí minh, chuyên ngành thiết kế đồ họa. Lý do tôi chọn ngành thiết kế đồ họa là vì ở đó tôi có thể thể hiện khả năng và niềm đam mê sáng tạo của bản thân vào các sản phẩm thiết kế.

Để trở thành một nhà thiết kế đồ họa đòi hỏi bạn phải có năng khiếu bẩm sinh, trí tưởng tượng hướng nghệ thuật và tư duy về bố cục để thành công. Ngoài ra cần có cái nhìn toàn cảnh, nhạy cảm với những chuyển biến văn hóa lớn nhưng cũng nắm bắt rõ được chi tiết trong những xu hướng đó. Nhà thiết kế đồ họa chuyên nghiệp hiểu rõ về quy luật khoảng cách, xu hướng, bố cục và màu sắc.

Thiết kế đồ họa là nghệ thuật giao tiếp bằng hình ảnh. Đây là một ngành thuộc lĩnh vực mỹ thuật công nghiệp, nhằm mục đích truyền tải các thông điệp của cuộc sống thông qua các nội dung đồ họa. Cụ thể đó là sự kết hợp giữa ý tưởng, sự sáng tạo, khả năng thẩm mỹ và sử dụng công nghệ thông tin để tạo ra các thông điệp bằng hình ảnh. Các sản phẩm của thiết kế đồ họa phục vụ cho rất nhiều mục đích khác nhau như: truyền thông, quảng cáo, thương mại, giáo dục, giải trí… ví dụ như bìa sách, tạp chí, bao bì sản phẩm, biển quảng cáo, giao diện website, hình ảnh truyền hình, nhân vật game, phim hoạt hình…

Đây là một nghề dễ dàng đem lại thu nhập tốt, tính chất công việc năng động, không nhàm chán, không gian và thời gian làm việc linh hoạt, môi trường làm việc hiện đại bắt kịp xu thế của thế giới. Tuy nhiên, cũng cần tính nhẫn nại và khả năng chịu được áp lực công việc cao.
