3 tháng đầu năm là thời điểm các bệnh truyền nhiễm như cúm, thủy đậu, quai bị, liên cầu lợn... dễ lây lan nên số ca bệnh thường tăng cao.
Tiến sĩ Trương Đình Bắc, Phó Cục trưởng Y tế Dự phòng, Bộ Y tế, cho biết, mùa đông là mùa virus cúm, vi khuẩn phát triển rất mạnh. Đặc biệt sắp tới đến mùa lễ hội, Tết Nguyên đán, bệnh lây từ động vật sang người như cúm gia cầm, liên cầu lợn có nguy cơ bùng phát. Sốt xuất huyết vẫn diễn biến phức tạp tại một số tỉnh với 2.000 ca mắc mới mỗi tuần, ít hơn so với năm 2015. Một số nơi như Khánh Hòa, Bình Định… dịch còn diễn biến phức tạp.

Cúm

Đây là bệnh hay gặp, phổ biến vào mùa xuân, đặc biệt khi thời tiết ẩm. Trong 5 năm qua (2011-2015), trung bình mỗi tháng có hơn 100.000 bệnh nhân, một số ca tử vong.

Bệnh lây qua đường hô hấp, các giọt nước bọt bắn hay dịch tiết mũi họng của người bệnh do ho, hắt hơi. Bệnh gặp ở mọi lứa tuổi, hay gặp ở trẻ dưới 3 tuổi. Để phòng bệnh, người dân cần chú ý thực hiện tốt vệ sinh cá nhân, giữ ấm cơ thể, ăn uống đủ chất để nâng cao thể trạng, tiêm văcxin cúm mùa phòng bệnh…
