Đối với các hồ sơ chất lượng cần khắc phục sai lỗi thì chỉ có trưởng bộ phận lập hồ sơ đó mới có quyền sửa chữa. Thực hiện việc sửa chữa bằng cách xóa hoặc phủ trắng chỗ sai rồi viết lên trên, nhưng người sửa phải ký xác nhận và ghi ngày sửa vào bên cạnh chỗ sai lỗi đã được khắc phục hoặc bằng các cách khác phù hợp với yêu cầu của công việc (in lại mới hồ sơ, hiệu đính...).
