Website cộng đồng âm nhạc trực tuyến Zing Mp3 được ra mắt đầu tiên từ ngày 1 tháng 8 năm 2007, nó tích hợp hệ thống tìm kiếm công nghệ hiện đại, các robot sẽ tự động tìm kiếm những đường link có chứa nội dung âm nhạc trên một số website âm nhạc phổ biến tại Việt Nam, giúp người dùng chỉ cần vào mục tìm kiếm nhạc là có thể tìm kiếm nhạc từ nhiều nguồn khác nhau. Đồng thời còn cho phép người nghe, tải, nhúng vào blog hay gửi cho bạn bè những bài hát mình yêu thích. Hiện nay Zing MP3 là một trong những trang web âm nhạc được mến mộ nhiều nhất ở Việt Nam. Với kho nhạc hơn 1 triệu bài hát, trang web còn thường xuyên được cập nhật danh sách những bài hát, ca sĩ mới. Ngoài ra, với tính năng Playlist, người nghe có thể tạo cho mình album riêng với những bài hát yêu thích, tổng hợp từ nhiều nguồn, để nghe và gửi tặng, chia sẻ với bạn bè, người thân. Zing MP3 trong thời gian tới sẽ tiếp tục cho ra mắt thêm nhiều tính năng mới như bình luận Playlist, lời bài hát...

Tuy nhiên Zing MP3 không phải là một công cụ tìm kiếm đúng nghĩa vì không có khả năng tìm kiếm toàn văn.

Zing Music Awards là Giải thưởng âm nhạc trực tuyến đầu tiên tại Việt Nam, được khởi động vào tháng 9/2010 bởi Zing Mp3, công ty VNG [1] (VinaGame cũ). Giải thưởng ra đời nhằm ghi nhận và vinh danh những nghệ sĩ đã có nhiều đóng góp trên thị trường âm nhạc trực tuyến. Giải thưởng được tổ chức thường niên.
