Những cách tiếp cận đương thời đối với lĩnh vực nghiên cứu học thuật về chính sách đối ngoại đã phát triển trong bối cảnh như thế và có thể được chia ra thành ba dòng văn liệu tập trung vào: a/ cá nhân; b/ nhóm cá nhân; và, c/ đặc điểm xã hội của các chủ thể chính sách đối ngoại. Trong phần sau đây, trước hết chúng ta sẽ cùng xét tới những giả định về tầm quan trọng của các cấp độ phân tích này; sau đó, chúng ta xem xét sự ứng dụng của chúng vào các trường hợp chính sách đối ngoại cụ thể cũng như những chứng cứ thực nghiệm minh họa cho mỗi cấp độ.

The contemporary approach to the field of academic research on foreign policy has developed in such a context, and can be divided into three lines of text will focus on: a/individuals; b/individual groups; and, c/the social characteristics of the subject to foreign policy. In the following sections, we will together consider the assumptions about the importance of this analysis level; then, we consider the applications in the event of specific foreign policy as well as the empirical evidence illustrate each level.
