Các thuyền buồm tham gia cuộc đua Hong Kong – Nha Trang được trang bị theo đúng tiêu chuẩn issksd
Ban tổ chức sẽ liên lạc với các thuyền 2 lần 1 ngày theo lịch nhằm nắm bắt thông tin về hành trình của các thuyền và diễn biến cuộc đua cho đến khi các thuyền về đích. Dựa trên các thông tin này, họ sẽ xác định vị trí của thuyền và điều chỉnh hướng đi của thuyền. trong trường hợp không nhận được phản hồi của các thuyền theo như lịch trình, ban tổ chức sẽ thông báo và yêu cầu các thuyền phía sau kiểm tra tình hình của các thuyền đi trước và sẵn sàng hỗ trợ khi cần.
Các thuyền buồm sẽ phải giữ liên lạc với văn phòng câu lạc bộ thuyền buồm hoàng gia hong kong. Khi cách đích khoảng 10 hải lý, các thuyền buồm được yêu cầu liên lạc bằng vô tuyến VHF với ban tổ chức tại điểm đến và giờ đến.
