Chất gây ung thư nói trên nằm trong caramel làm màu cho nước giải khát. Thử nghiệm của các nhà khoa học cho thấy, hóa chất này có thể gây ra ung thư phổi, gan, tuyến giáp và bệnh bạch cầu ở chuột.
