Chiều nay (25/3), Chủ tịch nước và phu nhân cùng đoàn cấp cao nước ta đã về tới Hà Nội kết thúc tốt đẹp chuyến thăm làm việc tại Lào theo lời mời của Chủ tịch nước Cộng hòa Dân chủ Nhân dân Lào Choummaly Sayasone và phu nhân.

Chuyến thăm đã góp phần thắt chặt mối quan hệ hữu nghị truyền thống, tình đoàn kết đặc biệt, hợp tác toàn diện Việt Nam-Lào, đưa quan hệ 2 nước đi vào chiều sâu vì lợi ích của nhân dân mỗi nước, vì hòa bình, ổn định, hợp tác và phát triển ở khu vực.
Trong hai ngày ở thăm Lào, Chủ tịch nước Trương Tấn Sang đã có rất nhiều hoạt động như hội đàm với Tổng Bí thư, Chủ tịch nước Lào Choummaly Sayasone; tiếp kiến Thủ tướng Thongsing Thammavong, Chủ tịch Quốc hội Pany Dathotu.

Chủ tịch nước cũng đã đến thăm gia đình đồng chí Khamtay Siphandone- nguyên Chủ tịch Đảng Nhân dân cách mạng Lào, Nguyên Chủ tịch nước CHDCND Lào, đồng chí đồng chí Saman Vinhake, nguyên Chủ tịch Quốc hội, nguyên Trưởng ban Chỉ đạo công tác tư tưởng, lý luận và văn hóa Trung ương; tiếp Chủ tịch Hội Hữu nghị Lào - Việt.
Tại các cuộc hội đàm và tiếp xúc các nhà lãnh đạo, nguyên lãnh đạo Lào đều đánh giá cao chuyến thăm đã mang đến cho nhân dân Lào nguồn cổ vũ động viên to lớn, của người bạn, người đồng chí, người anh em thân thiết Việt Nam - những người đã từng đồng cam cộng khổ, chia ngọt sẻ bùi, hy sinh xương máu vì sự nghiệp chung của nhân dân hai nước.
