Qua rà soát sơ bộ thuế suất của các linh kiện, phụ tùng ô tô đang được quy định theo hướng đối với những mặt hàng trong nước đã sản xuất được (như săm, lốp, ghế, kính, còi ô tô…) thì quy định mức thuế suất cao bằng cam kết WTO (20-30%), đối với những mặt hàng trong nước chưa sản xuất được (như quy lát, túi khí, hệ thống giảm chấn, bộ phận của hộp số..) thì quy định mức thuế suất thấp hơn mức cam kết WTO (từ 5-25%) tùy chủng loại linh kiện, phụ tùng
