Trong số những điều kiện mà Toyota đề xuất, điều kiện về thay đổi cách tính thuế tiêu thụ đặc biệt cho xe CKD cũng như giảm thuế tiêu thụ đặc biệt cho sản xuất trong nước là điều mà Chính phủ nên xem xét nhượng bộ. Bởi khi phát triển được thị trường ôtô với nhiều người sử dụng hơn, nguồn thu từ thuế và phí sẽ tăng lên, bù đắp phần thiếu hụt trên.
Ngoài những điều kiện đó, nếu Toyota và các doanh nghiệp khác vẫn khăng khăng đòi hỏi Chính phủ phải chấp nhận thêm điều kiện khác thì lúc này sự đòi hỏi đó trở nên quá đáng và vô lý, Chính phủ nên bỏ qua.
Trong tương lai, nếu Toyota và các doanh nghiệp khác sẽ thu hẹp hoặc ngừng sản xuất với lý do Chính phủ không đáp ứng đầy đủ các yêu cầu của họ thì đây là điều đáng tiếc cho Việt Nam, song cũng là điều hoàn toàn phù hợp với quy luật thị trường
