Kinh phí công đoàn cũng là một khoản trích dựa vào mức lương cơ bản của người lao động, được doanh nghiệp trích và đưa vào chi phí sản xuất kinh doanh trong kỳ (với tỷ lệ là 2%), người lao động không phải đóng khoản phí này. Quỹ này tài trợ cho các hoạt động công đoàn các cấp.
Theo qui định tại Nghị định 191/2013/NĐ-CP ban hành ngày 21/11/2013 và chính thức có hiệu lực vào ngày 10/1/2014 thì không phân biệt doanh nghiệp có hay không có tổ chức công đoàn đều phải thực hiện nộp kinh phí công đoàn là 2%.
