Tổng mức bán lẻ hàng hóa và doanh thu dịch vụ tiêu dùng năm 2014 ước tính đạt 2945,2 nghìn tỷ đồng, tăng 10,6% so với năm 2013, nếu loại trừ yếu tố giá tăng 6,3%, cao hơn mức tăng 5,5% của năm 2013.
Xét theo ngành hàng, doanh thu bán lẻ hàng hóa cả năm đạt 2216 nghìn tỷ đồng, tăng 11,3% so với năm 2013; doanh thu dịch vụ lưu trú ăn uống và du lịch đạt 381,8 nghìn tỷ đồng, tăng 8%; doanh thu dịch vụ khác đạt 347,4 nghìn tỷ đồng, tăng 9,4%.
