Mô hình RAINS ASIA thể hiện sự gia tăng về tổng sử dụng năng lượng từ năm 1990 đến 2030, đồng thời cũng chỉ ra các ngành kinh tế sử dụng nhiều năng lượng nhất
Để kiểm soát tình trạng phát thải các hợp chất acid vào môi trường thì mô hình RAINS AISA đã áp dụng một số biện pháp, phương án giảm thiểu phát thải nhằm mục đích thống kê các loại nhiên liệu được sử dụng phổ biến trong các ngành công nghiệp từ đó tính toán chi phí cần để giảm thiểu phát thải.
