Theo kết quả của các nghiên cứu trong nước và quốc tế, 90% số trẻ nhiễm vi rút viêm gan B sau khi sinh hoặc trong những năm đầu đời có nguy cơ chuyển thành nhiễm vi rút viêm gan B mãn tính. Viêm gan mạn tính là một vấn đề y tế nghiêm trọng ở Việt Nam và ung thư gan là nguyên nhân chính gây tử vong do ung thư.

According to the results of the research in the country, 90 percent of children with hepatitis B virus infection after birth or in early years are at risk of turning into a virus infection of chronic hepatitis B. Chronic hepatitis is a serious health issue in Vietnam and cancer of the liver is the main cause of death due to cancer.
