Nói chính xác là ở Miền trung của Việt Nam thường xảy ra lũ lụt hàng năm, tại sao:
Vì ở khu vực này sông, suối nhiều nhưng chiều dài các sông đa số ngắn và có độ dốc lớn. Lưu vực các sông thường là đồi núi nên nước mưa đổ xuống rất nhanh. Các cửa sông lại hay bị bồi lấp làm cản trở việc thoát lũ cho vùng đồng bằng.
