Song song với sự phát triển về kinh tế - xã hội là quá trình đô thị hóa. Ở Việt Nam trong những năm gần đây, quá trình đô thị hóa đang ngày một phát triển. Nó mang lại nhiều lợi ích về kinh tế và xã hội cho Việt Nam. Tuy nhiên, mặt trái của đô thị hóa ở nước ta cũng như một số nước khác trên thế giới chính là sự tương khắc giữa với môi trường. Trong giới hạn phạm vi tên đề tài, bài viết trình bày về những tác động tiêu cực của quá trình đô thị hóa ở Việt Nam đến môi trường. Cụ thể vấn nạn ô nhiễm môi trường có ảnh hưởng như thế nào đến sự phát triển kinh tế, cuộc sống của dân cư và sự phát triển chung của đất nước trong tương lai. Từ đó, tác giả đề xuất một số giải pháp nhằm góp phần hạn chế và giảm thiểu sự ô nhiễm môi trường do quá trình đô thị hóa gây ra. Những giải pháp đó được dựa trên những quy định và chiến lược chung của các tổ chức môi trường trên thế giới cũng như trong nước đưa ra.

In parallel with the development of economy and society is the process of urbanization. In Vietnam in recent years, the process of urbanization is growing. It brings many benefits for economy and society for Vietnam. However, the downside of urbanization in our country as well as some other countries in the world is the contrast between the environment. Within the scope of the topic name, articles about the negative impact of the process of urbanization in Vietnam to the environment. Specific problems of environmental pollution have affected how to economic development, the population's life and the development of the country in the future. From there, the author proposes a number of solutions to contribute to limiting and reducing the environmental pollution caused by the process of urbanization. The solutions that are based on the regulations and general strategy of the environmental organization in the world as well as in the water.
