Trong sinh hoạt hàng ngày tại gia đình, cũng như học tập ở mái trường thân yêu, chúng em luôn luôn nhận thấy tầm quan trọng của nguồn năng lượng điện, bởi nó giúp cho các thiết bị điện hoạt động như: đèn điện, máy vi tính, máy chiếu, quạt, tivi, tủ lạnh..., phục vụ việc học tập, sinh hoạt, vui chơi giải trí của con người. Ngoài ra, năng lượng điện còn là nguồn nhiên liệu không thể thiếu trong nhiều ngành công nghiệp, các nhà máy sản xuất các vật dụng, phương tiện, đồ dùng thiết yếu trong cuộc sống.Tuy nhiên, không có nguồn năng lượng nào là vô tận; dầu mỏ, khí đốt, than đá ... ngày càng cạn kiệt và sẽ biến mất vĩnh viễn trong tương lai không xa. Năng lượng điện cũng vậy, nếu chúng ta không biết tiết kiệm thì sẽ nguồn điện sẽ không đủ đáp ứng nhu cầu sử dụng của con người, dẫn đến nhiều khó khăn trong đời sống, sinh hoạt, học tập.
