Tết Bunpimay thường diễn ra trong ba ngày, 13, 14 và 15 THÁNG TƯ hàng năm theo Phật lịch.
Ý nghĩa
Tết té nước là một trong những lễ hội văn hoá truyền thống của các nước Đông Nam Á. Người Lào gọi là Bunpimay, người Thái Lan gọi là Songkran, người Campuchia gọi là Chol Chnam Thmey và người Myanmar gọi là Thingyan.
Từ 10h đến 16h chiều là khoảng thời gian vui nhất. Sau 16h, lễ hội sẽ dừng lại.
Địa điểm
Lễ hội té nước được tổ chức trên khắp cả nước nhưng vui nhất tại cố đô Luang Prabang và Vang Vieng. Tại Luang Prabang, nơi có nhiều chùa chiền và là khu du lịch nổi tiếng, các vị khách nước ngoài được tận hưởng không khí lễ hội rõ nét với rất nhiều trò chơi thú vị.
