Chẳng hạn như ở Bắc Ninh đã tổ chức đào tạo 35 ngành nghề các loại trong đó có tới 22 nghề phi nông nghiệp được người nông dân lựa chọn như trồng trọt, chế biến nông sản, chế biến gỗ rừng trồng, kỹ thuật trồng nấm, sản xuất rau an toàn, nuôi cá lồng, sản xuất mây tre đan, thêu dệt thổ cẩm, sản xuất tranh đá quý….
