So với thời điểm cuối năm, MB đã giảm nợ xấu kể cả số tuyệt đối lẫn tỷ lệ nợ xấu. Đây là nỗ lực rất lớn của MB trong việc xử lý nợ xấu trong 9 tháng đầu năm 2015 bằng các giải pháp xử lý nợ đa dạng và đồng bộ như các giải pháp tự xử lý nợ xấu và bán nợ sang VAMC.
Bên cạnh việc xử lý nợ xấu tại nội bảng, MB còn tích cực triển khai các giải pháp xử lý nợ xấu đối với các khoản nợ đã sử dụng quỹ dự phòng để xử lý rủi ro và các khoản nợ đã bán VAMC và đạt được nhiều kết quả tích cực, tăng cường thu nhập cho MB.
