Ngân Hàng làm trung gian thanh toán khi nó thực hiện thanh toán theo yêu cầu của khách hàng như trích tiền gửi từ tài khoản tiền gửi của họ để thanh toán tiền hàng hoá, dịch vụ hoặc nhập vào tài khoản tiền gửi của khách hàng như tiền thu từ bán hàng và các khoản thu khác theo lệnh của họ.
