Việc thảo luận thủ tiêu chế độ nô l

Việc thảo luận thủ tiêu chế độ nô lệ không chỉ được bàn luận trong Quốc hội mà còn được thảo luận rộng rãi trong nước. Với sức ép của nhân dân về việc thủ tiêu chế độ nô lệ đó là một phần để Quốc hội đưa ra đạo luật thủ tiêu chế độ nô lệ. Việc buôn bán con người trái đạo đức này được công nhận cho đến năm 1770, cơ sở của việc thủ tiêu chế độ nô lệ đó là vào thời kì khai sáng với việc đề cao giá trị con ngƣời, cho nên việc duy trì nô lệ và buôn bán nô lệ là đi thụt lùi với lịch sử loài người. Với việc truyền bá Thiên chúa giáo, đồng thời với niềm tin về lòng nhân từ của Chúa đã củng cố việc thủ tiêu việc buôn bán nô lệ trong nửa đầu thế kỉ XVIII.
