Cũng giống như khi dựng lều, khi gấp lều chúng ta cũng phải thao tác theo thứ tự để được nhanh chóng và gọn gàng.

+ Dọn sạch sẽ đồ đạc trong lều và chung quanh.
+ Tháo dây và nhổ hết cọc hai bên hông lều (không nhổ hai cọc ở hai đầu lều)
+ Đóng cửa lều (nếu lều có cửa)
+ Chập hai mái lều lại và cho nghiêng về một bên
+ Tháo dây lèo và nhổ hai cọc đầu lều.
+ Xếp hai cửa lều vào giữa, gấp các riềm vào trong.
+ Xếp gọn lại sao cho vừa túi đựng lều (nếu có).
+ Dùng dây bó chặt lều lại.
