Kết quả phân tích dữ liệu thu thập được (104 phát ngôn mời trực tiếp) cho thấy LMTT trong tiếng Anh có những mô hình cấu trúc như sau. LMTT có cấu trúc câu ngôn hành
Theo Cao Xuân Hạo [3:224], “Câu ngôn hành là một loại câu trần thuật tự biểu thị. Nói như vậy có nghĩa là một câu ngôn hành biểu thị chính cái hành động được thực hiện trong khi nói nó ra và chính bằng cách nói nó ra. Kiểu câu này vận dụng một loại động từ gọi là động từ ngôn hành (hay động từ ngữ vi).” Động từ ngữ vi ở đây là “invite” (mời). Ví dụ:

( Cậu có rỗi không? Tớ muốn mời cậu đến dự buổi khiêu vũ với chúng tớ.)
LMTT tiếng Anh là câu ngôn hành trong khối liệu thu thập của đề tài chủ yếu là câu có dạng “...would like to invite...”. Bên cạnh, còn có thể có dạng “...want to invite...”.
4.2.2. LMTT có cấu trúc câu cầu khiến
Cầu khiến, theo Ngữ pháp tiếng Việt [14:204], là “nói chung về các trường hợp yêu cầu, chúc tụng, sai bảo...”. Theo đó, LMTT trong tiếng Anh có các dạng câu cầu khiến dưới đây.
a. Câu mệnh lệnh

Trong dữ liệu đã thu thập, LMTT tiếng Anh chiếm tỉ trọng không nhiều. Một trong những nguyên nhân là do LMTT tiếng Anh có khả năng đe doạ thể diện của người nghe
