Xét trên thị phần, Vietnam Airlines vẫn là hãng bay Việt giữ ưu thế lớn nhất của mạng bay nội địa, chiếm khoảng 47%. Con số này tuy đang áp đảo các hãng khác, nhưng lại giảm mạnh so với những năm trước. Năm 2014, hãng hàng không quốc gia từng nắm tới 56% thị phần, năm 2013 là 61% và tới 68% năm 2012.

In 2014, the national airline, each holding up to 56% of the market, 2013 is 61% and 68% up to 2012.
