1. Xử lý CTR không nguy hại
1.1. Xử lý CTR sinh hoạt đô thị, nông thôn
- Chôn lấp hợp vệ sinh (có và không có thu hồi biogas)
- Sản xuất phân hữu cơ vi sinh
- Đốt chất thải (không thu hồi nhiệt)
- Đốt chất thải thu hồi nhiệt (phát điện)
1.2. Xử lý CTR công nghiệp không nguy hại
- Tái chế (Giấy, kim loại, thủy tinh, nhựa).
- Sản xuất phân hữu cơ (chất thải có nguồn gốc hữu cơ từ quá trình chế biến thực phẩm).
- Sản xuất vật liệu xây dựng (bùn thải, xỉ than, xỉ thép ...)
- Đốt chất thải thu hồi nhiệt (Đồng đốt trong lò xi măng, lò hơi ...)
- Nhiệt phân cao su (săm, lốp, plastic ...) thành nhiên liệu lỏng
1.3. Xử lý chất thải trồng trọt
- Tái chế làm phân bón hữu cơ (rau màu)
- Tái chế làm thức ăn chăn nuôi (rơm rạ)
- Tái chế làm chất đốt (Thanh nhiên liệu từ trấu, thanh mùn cưa, thanh bã mía ..)
1.4. Xử lý chất thải phân gia súc, gia cầm
- Sản xuất phân bón hữu cơ
- Ủ biogas thu hồi khí làm nhiên liệu (kết hợp phát điện).
- Xử lý mùi hôi (chế phẩm vi sinh, ozon ...)
1.5. Xử lý chất thải nuôi trồng, chế biến thủy sản
- Sản xuất phân bón (bùn ao nuôi cá tra, cá basa).
