Tiến sỹ Nguyễn Đức Thành nhận bằng Tiến sỹ Kinh tế Phát triển tại Viện Nghiên cứu Chính sách Quốc gia Nhật (GRIPS), chuyên gia về kinh tế vĩ mô và mô hình hóa, hiện là viện trưởng viện nghiên cứu Kinh tế và Chính sách (VEPR) và thành viên nhóm tư vấn kinh tế của Thủ tướng Chính phủ.
TS. Thành là nghiên cứu viên cao cấp của Nhóm từ vấn Chính sách của Bộ Tài chính từ 03/2007 đến 09/2008, tham gia thành lập Trung tâm Nghiên cứu Kinh tế và Chính sách (VEPR), thuộc trường đài học kinh tế, đại học quốc gia Hà nội vào tháng 07/2008 và giữ chức Giám đọc kiêm Kinh tế trưởng của VEPR từ đó đến nay. Dr. Nguyen Duc Thanh received a Ph.d. in development economics at the Institute for policy studies (GRIPS), Japan National expert on Macroeconomics and modeling, is currently the Director of Institute of economic research and policy (VIETNAM) and a member of the Economic Advisory Group of the Prime Minister.TS.
