Bên cạnh năng lực chuyên môn, người giáo viên còn cần có đời sống chuẩn mực trong quan hệ gia đình, bạn bè cũng như luôn quan tâm đến đời sống cá nhân của học sinh. Học sinh đa phần đều còn trẻ và dễ dàng bắt chước theo những hành động xấu. Để dạy dỗ được học sinh, giáo viên phải là tấm gương tốt trong việc đối xử với cha mẹ, nuôi dạy con cái, cuộc sống cá nhân. Đồng thời, giáo viên cần quan tâm đến hoàn cảnh học sinh, biết kiên nhẫn lắng nghe ý kiến, chia sẻ quan điểm sống tốt đẹp nhằm hướng học sinh đến những suy nghĩ, những hành động tích cực hơn trong cuộc sống.
